After receiving his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University, Jonathan attended Georgetown University Law Center, and graduated in 2011.
During law school, Jonathan worked in the Chambers of Judge Anita Josey-Herring, an Associate Judge of the DC Superior Court. Jonathan researched and drafted memorandums regarding a variety of aspects of civil litigation. Following graduation and passing the bar, Jonathan continued to work with Judge Josey-Herring as a Law Fellow, taking on even greater responsibilities.
Jonathan next began a clerkship with Judge Alfred Irving, an Associate Judge of the DC Superior Court, for the 2012-2013 term. While clerking for Judge Irving, Jonathan was involved with complex cases involving every facet of family law, including alimony, child support, custody, and divorce.
At the conclusion of his clerkship, Jonathan went into private practice, joining the law firm of David E. Schreiber, PC. With the experience he gained while working in the chambers of two judges, Jonathan quickly became a valued member of the firm, and worked closely with clients to resolve their problems.
Seeking a new challenge, Jonathan founded the Law Offices of Jonathan Leo, LLC in 2015, focused on providing clients superior legal advice and representation at affordable rates. Jonathan handles cases involving family law, labor and employment law, business and contract law, wills and estates, and general civil litigation.
Jonathan Leo is currently admitted to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and New York.
